The District of West Godavari is divided into three Districts, namely; Eluru District, West Godavari District and East Godavari District. Konaseema region is made into a new district with the name Dr. Br. Ambedkar Konaseema district. Thus, the jurisdiction of the diocese of Eluru is spread over four revenue districts of the state of Andhra Pradesh.
