Present projects of SSC
Social Service Centre has been undertaking several programs for the benefit of poor and downtrodden:
The following are the current projects:
- Community Based Disaster Preparedness Programme in 30 River bed villages in Nidadavolu, Atreyapuram, Polavaram Mandal East Godavari and Eluru Districts
- Cancer Care Campaign in schools, colleges, communities in Eluru, West Godavari, East Godavari and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar districts of Andhra Pradesh
- Women Empowerment -Income Generation Programs in Eluru, Pedavegi Mandals.
- CFLG project: Creating 15 Child Friendly Model Panchayats and Strengthening Hazard Preparedness and Response at Gram Panchayat Level in 15 panchayats in Eluru Rural mandals.
- Child Line 1098.It is a national 24-Hour emergency telephone helpline and outreach service for children in need of care and protection, Eluru (West Godavari District).
- Children educational sponsorship programme
- Empowerment of differently abled people to access government facilities and schemes in Chintalapudi Mandal, Eluru District, Andhra Pradesh.

To reduce the cancer cases through awareness campaigns on the increase and prevalence of cancer among the people causes of cancer, what are the measures to take individually, family level and community level to take necessary preventive measures like change of mindset being health conscious, consumption of good and safe food, change of life style (physical activity) to the children, youth, women, men, communities. Networking and fundraising and setup of Cancer Information Centre is the key strategy. All this process is lead by four strategic pillars Empowering Animation, Dialogue, Volunteerism and Sharing communities. |

Child line is working for Missing or run way children, street and working children, abused, tortured and exploited children, children indulging in substance abuse, infected/affected by HIV/AIDS, children affected by natural calamities, emergencies and man-made disasters. Children with disabilities, child beggars, orphans and destitute victims of child marriage. Restoration to their family or guardians, rescue, Guidance and counseling, medical assistance, sponsorship for education, seeking shelter. |
